Placemaking and Consultations
Placemaking and Consultations
The Building Committee firmly believes that to create a great place, you have to build it for people. Principles established by the Project for Public Spaces (PPS) will be used to define the design of the building and adjacent areas.
These consultations, called Placemaking Sessions, took place between April and May 2009 throughout the County. Everyone was encouraged to attend one or more sessions. The sessions consisted of a slide show of other buildings and places to stimulate ideas then small groups outlined their ideas on the basic floor plan. Architect Dale Archibald and library staff facilitated teh process.
If you think of an idea afterward, then please submit it through our website or drop into the library on College Street. No idea is too big or too small!
